Yeah... I keep forgetting this tiny detail. We renamed the album. It's going to be called Wilder Days.

Video plans

This very moment I am working out a complicated plan for a video we are shooting next Wednesday. It will feature appearances (disappearances and reappearances, hehe) by Sergey Olkhovsky and John Caldwell, and also include four different instruments and costume changes by yours truly. Things of this complexity require some extra nerding out:

Getting Organized

This morning I started the process of preparing my album's liner notes. Among other things I tallied all the things I got to play on it. Here's the list: acoustic guitar, electric guitar, 12-string guitar, E-bow (yes, I'm counting it as a separate instrument, haha), banjo, dulcitar (don't ask), mandolin, bass, keyboard, tambourine and various shakers, hand rubbing as percussion... Well, and I sang, too :)))

More mixing, more waiting

Yesterday I listened to (almost) final version of the final mix. There are a couple of tweaks in two songs and it will be DONE! I promise!
In the mean time, I've come up with a very fun video idea for one of the tunes, so we'll be shooting some video footage (and the album cover) hopefully within the next few weeks. Spooky and John will be in the video. Now that I wrote this, they can't back out!

Mixing is in full swing!

We had to postpone it until today, but we are finally moving toward finishing the album. 4 songs are done, John is mixing the 5th one right now. I can't wait!

Mixing And Sneezing

We are officially mixing the new album as I'm typing these words. Actually, John is mixing at Station West and I am nursing a cold at home, but he should start sending files for my approval any minute now (if his word is to be believed). Tomorrow the mixing will continue, and if I'm not completely sick and dangerous to society, I will be there too. Hopefully some little interview pieces will be filmed for your viewing pleasure. Stay tuned.

Studio Time

The vocal parts were cut at Station West in Nashville. Some harmonies were done there as well, but some we kept from singing them rough at the house back when the songs were first recorded. My friend and manager Kathy Sacra-Anderson came out and snapped some pics of me singing.
